The Twp Rescue response was dispatched to assist Co. 50 (Middletown) & M104-7D (RH) in a wooded area along the creek near Knowlton Road and Creek Rd. A subject had fallen off the old train trestle approximately 30-40’ and landed along the creek bed on the Aston side of Chester Creek. R63, T63, U63 & DO 63 made the response. Units arrived at Knowlton Rd with 50 units. After hiking into the woods and to the patients’ location it was determined that the best access would be off of Greenbriar Ln. So the balance of the units responded there and staged. Chief 50 added SD 52 for the LZ and had Penn Star fly per the Medical Sector Chief. As EMS tended to the patient and rescue crews began packaging the patient the rescue team which consisted of companies members from 63, 72, 50 worked seamlessly together to build a rope system to bring the patient up from the creek where the patient was then safely packaged onto Gator 72 and transport through the woods to the awaiting ambulance on Greenbriar Ln. The patient was then transported to Linville Orchards where Penn Star was standing by for transport. MU54 (Lenni) was also on scene but did not have to be deployed.
All personnel did an outstanding job bringing this patient to safety. Chief 50 (Lillie) had the Knowlton Rd Command. DC K. Dawson had the Operation Sector, AC Harris Jr. had the Safety Sector and M104-9 had the EMS Sector.
