CONCORD RD MVA

Wednesday, November 27, 2013  Tonight at 830pm Rescue 63 assisted Aston Beechwood on a motor vehicle accident on Concord Rd. Crews found a single vehicle into a PECO utility pole with wires on the pole on fire. Companies cleared the scene within an hour.

   


 

SCHOOL BUS ACCIDENT

Tuesday, November 26, 2013  The Rescue Box was dispatched to the 600 block of Covent Rd. for the School Bus vs a car w/ 1 minor injury. Rescue 63 & 72 secured hazards and assisted EMS.

   


 

BUSY NCC COVER

Sunday, November 24, 2013  Engine 63 with a crew of 4 under the command of Lt. J. Curtis covered Minquas FC New Castle County Sta 23. Engine 63 ran 4 calls Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. Engine 63 & Rescue 23 handled a car fire with an engine compartment fire. Crews stretched an 1 ¾ and had extinguished same. Crews returned minutes later. Shortly after 4:00pm Engine 63 was called to assist the EMS with lifting. Around 6:00pm Engine 63 and assisting units were called to interstate 95 for an accident w/ entrapment. Crews arrived to find all patients out of the vehicle and assisted with patient packaging. At approximately 3am, the engine was requested to assist on a 2nd alarm working fire in Mill Creek on Champions Drive. Engine 63 dropped a secondary 5 inch supply line. Crews then went to the rear of the structure and advanced an 1 ¾ and extinguished fire that was in the “D” exposure. Crews assisted with overhaul. Engine 63 was released in about 2 hours by Mill Creek Command.


     



 

BROOKHAVEN HOLIDAY PARADE

Saturday, November 23, 2013  The CO. officially kicked off the holiday season at the Brookhaven Holiday Parade today. Thanks for the invitation once again.

   


 

PENNELL RD MVA

Saturday, November 23, 2013  Last night at 1030pm Rescue 63 responded to Pennell Rd for a motor vehicle accident. Rescue 72 arrived to find a single vehicle that rolled over and landed on the Middletown side of the bridge. Crews controlled the hazards and cleared the scene in 15 mins

     



 

CO. HELPS WELCOME HOME SOLIDER

Friday, November 22, 2013  Engine and Rescue 63 along with Rescue 72 were honored to take part in a welcome home escort for Aston resident Jim Natiello who has done numerous tours of duty overseas. Jim came home this week and tonight was escorted by the police, motorcycles and fire trucks to his welcome home party at the American Legion. Truck 63 & Quint 52 also provided an arch on Concord Rd. in front of Big Lots. WELCOME HOME JIM AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY!

   


 

PAST CHIEF MICUN RETIRES FROM ATPD

Thursday, November 21, 2013  Congratulations to Past Chief and Life Member Paul Micun on his retirement from the Aston Twp. Police Dept. Paul has served with the police dept. for 33 yrs beginning in 1980. For the past two and a half years, Paul has also had the honor of serving alongside his son, Joshua Micun, who is also a former FF with us. Congratulations Paul and please stop by to get some gear so you can start driving again!

   


 

RIT TO BETHEL

Wednesday, November 20, 2013  Truck 63 & Rescue 63 operated in the 3700 Blk of Mayfield Ln. in Bethel for the House fire as RIT. The homeowner reported their basement was filling up with smoke. Units arrived with smoke evident and located the source in the basement.

   


 

BRIDGEWATER RD ACCIDENT W/ ENTRAPMENT

Monday, November 18, 2013  The Rescue Co. just finished restoring the equipment from this accident with one subject trapped this morning in the 2000Blk of Bridgewater Rd. Crews from R63 & R52 handled the extrication while R72 crew handled a safety line. The subject was extricated & transported to CCMC within the 20min mark. Chief 63 had the Bridgewater Rd.
