Just after lunch, the house fire was dispatched to the 2700 Blk of Bethel Rd in Chester Township. Truck 63 responded staffed with 6 under the command of 63-12a(Harris Jr). 47-9(Chief Comisiak) arrived to find a large 3 story single family with fire showing from the 2nd floor on the "C" side. The Truck arrived as the first due special service and the crews were ordered to ventilate, the crews split throwing 115' of ground ladders and ventilating the roof. The roof crews experienced some difficulty with the home that was built in 1871, but got the job done. The crews from the Engine and Rescue assisted inside with checking for extension and fire suppression. The crews from Green Ridge operated for just under 3 hours. Thanks to Lansdowne and Claymont for covering and to Gary Plotts and Dan Brees for the photos.
