Monday, December 2, 2013  The box assignment was struck for the 100blk of W. Garrison for a house fire. 52-13a (J Bynum) was the first to arrive and had smoke showing from a 2 story twin. Engine 82 and Rescue 63 arrived simultaneously and while engine 82 was stretching the line, the crew from Rescue 63 assumed the 1st due special service and began throwing ladders while the inside crew began a search and located the fire in the front bedroom. The hook & can put a knock on the fire and announced it to the linemen from engine 82. After the fire was knocked the crews ventilated and opened up. 63 operated for an hour before returning for service. Companies on scene included Parkside, Chester (82), Carden City, Brookhaven, Upland and Lower Chichester.
