At just past 1400hrs, the street assignment was stuck for the 400 Block of Virginia Ln. for the house on fire. Chief 63 (Evans) arrived with a 2 story SFD with a possible fire inside on the upper floors caused by an electrical surge. E63 (FF McCormick) took the first due engine responsibilities secured a supply line & made the stretch to the front door. T63 and R63 arrived and split crews to check the building and a second dwelling on the block reporting a similar odor inside. The assignment was held to Co. 63. PECO was notified and crews restored the apparatus and the scene was turned over to them. Assisting on the assignment was E72, R52, R71, TW61, NCC RIT 13 & M72.
Later in the evening just after 2200 hours the Rescue assignment was hit out for the 6000 Block of Pennell Rd for the accident. R63 (DC Dawson) & U63 (Evans) arrived with an accident with two patients needing care. Crews assisted M72 and controlled the hazards before returning.
