Green Ridge Fire Company

END TO A BUSY WEEK

Sunday, July 18, 2010 Busy week ends in a cool fashion. After multiple days with severe thunderstorms that moved through the area and temperatures in the 90s with heat indexes well into the 100s. The company stayed busy running over 30 runs for the week including wires/transformers, fire alarms, EMS assists, buildings fires, accidents and cover assignments. The Engine was requested to relocate south to Minquas in New Castle County, DE while several departments were on numerous water rescues and flood incidents. The Engine covered for a few hours before being released by 23-8.

To end the weekend the Company held a car wash fundraiser at the station. Crews washed cars for several hours and had some time to hit the slip and slide in between cars. In all the crews raised some money and had some fun. Afterwards the crew had a BBQ to top of the busy week. Thank you to everyone that came out and supported our car wash.
