Just before 0100 hours the Twp. Companies were dispatched for the transformer explosion at the intersection of Moser and Highwoods. When crews were clearing the transformer explosion after Tac 72 found it on Cherry Tree rd a resident came up to E63 and stated that he heard a loud pop and now smelled smoke in his living room. Crew then began to investigate and upgraded the assignment to the building response due to a strong odor of something burning in the house. ICS was then implemented 729A Lloyd was Command, 639B Dawson was Operations & 72-11 Spayd had interior on the 1st house. Crews later had three more residents come out complaining of an odor of smoke in their residences so command added another engine and 2 ladders for man power and equipment. Command then had crews check the whole street due to the surge and so many complaints. Crews operated on scene for an hour in a half.
