On June 5th, five Green Ridge firemen along with many others traveled to Claymont Fire Co., who hosted "Traditions Training" as they presented another high intensity, real world experience based forcible entry class. This class consisted of lectures about going through the lock, followed by rigorous hands on evolutions. The forcible entry class taught our members the basic functions of forcing doors, removing bars and cutting roll down gates as well as many street proven tactics to overcome a variety of obstacles routinely experienced by the truck company. The instructors consisted of career firefighters from the District of Columbia F.D., Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire and the Fire Department of New York. Thanks to Claymont Fire Co for hosting the class.
