Monday, May 24, 2010

The Morning started off with a fire alarm in ChesterTownship at 3:30am, the alarm was tripped and the assignment was recalled by 47 Command. Just after 7am the commercial box alarm was struck for the Wawa at the 5000 block of Pennell Rd. Engine 63(D/C Evans) arrived and had normal conditions from the outside. The Engine setup in case we had to stretched inside, interior (A/C Dawson) found an intercom box on fire that fell off the wall and caught the wall and a nearby chair on fire. Truck 63 set up on the "A" Alpha side of the structure and assisted the Engine Co with opening the wall and checking for extension. Once the fire was placed under control "Pennell Rd Command" held the assignment to Engine and Truck 63. The crews awaited the Code Enforcer and Health Department for just over an hour. D/C Evans had the "Pennell Rd Command".

Later in the evening the QRS was out on a second emergency in the local. Also during the last period of the Flyers game the Twp. Companies responded to an Odor Investigation in the Unit Block of Florence Ave. and a Building fire in the Unit Block of Scott Lane. Both calls were minor.
