EASTER MVA W/ ENTRAPMENT

     

Sunday, April 4, 2010 Tonight as the Easter holiday weekend was winding down the Township Rescue assignment was dispatched to Birney Highway in the area of Linda Ln. for an accident. As Chief 72  responded Fire Board advised him of numerous calls for an accident with confirmed entrapment. R72 arrived with one vehicle that left the roadway into multiple trees with confirmed entrapment. Rescue 63, U63, E63 and 638 made the response and arrived behind R72 and began extrication of one subject trapped. The crews from 72 & 63 worked to remove both driver side doors and the "B" post to gain access to the patient for awaiting EMS. The patient was extricated within the first 20 minute mark. Assisting on scene were M100, 1st & 11th District Fire Police and ATPD. Chief 72 M. Keiser had the Aston Command and Deputy 63 M. Evans had the Rescue Operation.
