2ND ALARM TO UPPER CHICHESTER

     

Monday, March 8, 2010 Just before 1900 hrs the 2nd alarm street assignment was struck for the 2500 block of Larkin Rd in Upper Chichester on the working house fire. Truck, Rescue and U63 responded on the assignment. Upper Chi units were on scene with a 2 story SFD with heavy fire showing from side “C” Charlie of the building. Crews encountered heavy smoke conditions and no visible fire on the interior sectors and Command reported heavy fire conditions visible on the exterior and evacuated the building to go defensive. Once the 2nd Alarm Companies arrived and a brief defensive attack with Tower 61 and multiple hand lines crews went back in to open up and extinguish the fire. Crews worked for several hours before being released. 63 Crews operated under the Command of Chief B. Herre. Other units on scene were:

2nd Alarm- 63, 66, 71, 72, NCC RIT 13 A687
