This afternoon and late into the early morning the members and their family and friends were at the station for a party for the new Engine 63 a 2010 Pierce Arrow XT Pumper. This was a chance for the members and the families to see what two year process of meeting and writing the specifications was all for. The Committee also got to show off the new engine to some of our mutual aide companies who stopped over to see the engine and have some food and drinks. The Engine Committee also met with J-Tech and Halo to finalize the compartment layouts and placement of the electric equipment needing to be installed. A special thank you to the following local businesses who donated to help us celebrate our new engine: Scarrino’s Pizza, Cocco’s Pizza, Peppino’s Pizza, Barnaby’s of Aston, Goodale Beverage and Dexter’s on the Five. A big thank you also goes to East Lansdowne and Reliance H & L for covering Aston Twp while we celebrated.
