RIT RUN AND BOX ALARM

     

Monday, February 8, 2010 The Rescue was dispatched to assist the Marcus Hook-Trainer Fire Department, they had a large 3 story commercial structure with an electrical fire inside that was unable to be extinguished until PECO secured the power. The Rescue (Capt. Harris) was told to set up the RIT equipment in the rear of the structure. The crews stood by for 30min before being released by "9th St Command".  In the afternoon the Truck was dispatched to the unit block of Dogwood Lane in Aston for "smoke coming from the house across the street". Truck 63(Capt. Harris) arrived to find a 1 story rancher with smoke from the chimney. The crews had a 1 3/4 line inplace while they investigated. The crews found a fire inside the heater and secured the power to the unit. Aston Command (72-9B) held the assignment to Truck 63 and Engine 72 and were available soon after.
