A few minutes before 10am, Truck 63 and Tac 45 were alerted to
transfer to Sta. 41, Newtown Square Fire Co. 41 units were assisting
Berwyn on a 3 alarm apartment fire in Tredyferrin Twp. While on the
cover, Truck 63 ran a CO alarm on Green Countrie Dr. in Newtown Twp.
The alarm was faulty and we quickly returned. The covers were released
from 41 around 1pm.
At 230pm, Truck 63 was back out the door
on its way to another cover. This one was pre-arranged at Claymont Fire
Co. while they held their annual banquet. The Truck covered solo until
about 1am running 2 calls. The first was a report of smoke from a
school on Naaman's Road that just turned out to be steam from the
roof.Talleyville, Lower Chi and Bethel were also on the ticket. The
2nd call was for a smoke investigation that turned out to be
unfounded. The Chief, Deputy, 1st Assistant and Vice Pres. also
attended the banquet representing Green Ridge. Thank you to Claymont
for the invitations and hospitality.
