This morning the members gathered at the local Applebee's for a Breakfast with Santa fundraiser. The members served the patrons with hot cakes and sausage and their beverages of choice. In all a successful fundraiser was had and the patrons got to meet Santa as he took time to walk around and visit with everyone. We would like to thank all the patrons who came out in support of GRFC and to Applebee's for their continued support of our Community.

The officers and members took the night to officially kick off the Holiday Season and to thank all of our members and their families by hosting our annual Christmas Party. Over 100 members and family came out to have another successful party. A special thank you to the committee for helping plan the party, Jim Casar for preparing the food, to those who donated their time to help set up and decorate while we were escorting Santa around town and also to Drew Bates at Arasapha Farms, Cocco's Pizza of Aston. The Administrative and Tactical officers would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to

Today the members had the privilege to escort Santa Claus around our 1st due local so he could check in on the local boys and girls to make sure they were still on course to stay off the Naughty List. The full company was out and about. We officially kicked off the holiday season with Santa and delivering candy canes to our residents. We would like to thank the residents who donated to us as we went around.

Tonight the Truck with a crew of 6 traveled to the Borough of Marcus Hook for a cover while the members of MHTFC held their annual Christmas party. The crew stood by for several hours with 2 called logged back to Aston Twp. for a vehicle fire & smoke investigation. We would like to thank the MHTFC for their hospitality and wish them Happy Holidays.

Early this morning the street assignment was put out for the 500 Block of Market St. in Marcus Hook for the report house on fire. Chief 68 (McClure) arrived on scene with a 2 story MOD with an attached deli with smoke showing. E68 secured their own water supply and stretched an attack line to the basement where fire was found. T63 (Lt. Brees) arrived as the 1st due special services and performed a search of the 2nd floor apartments. The fire was quickly knocked down and the units were held for overhaul and ventilation. Co.’s on scene were 68, 39, 40, 61, RIT 45, M100-7.

Just into rush hour the rescue assignment was put out for the 5100 Block of Pennell Rd for the accident reported overturned with entrapment. R63(Harris Jr.) U63 & Chief 63 arrived on scene with an accident with one on its side & one confined. Pennell Rd. Command was established and the vehicle was stabilized and the patient was removed. The patient refused treatment and the crews stood-by until the arrival of R72. While we were clearing the accident a fire alarm was dispatched to Dr. Rubio’s Office/Apartments. Crews investigated unattended cooking and performed natural ventilation before returning.

This evening the Truck was dispatched to cover Lansdowne Fire Co. Sta. 19 while they battled a house fire. T63 (Krapf) covered Sta. 19 for about 6 hours and logged 0 runs. The crews helped them restore their trucks before returning to the local. Also covering was R44 & E6.

After the crews got cleaned up and had some dinner, the Chester Township police
called in multiple sheds on fire in the area of the 2700blk of
Concord Rd. The Engine and the chief responded right away and
arrived to find the rear of two sheds involved along with a fence. A
line was placed in-service right away and Chief 63 held the
assignment to the engine.

While the company was lined up in Marcus Hook for the annual Christmas Parade, The box assignment was dispatched to Sterling Ave for a reported house on fire. 39-9b (Fuller) was the first to arrive and had a 2 story end of the row with fire showing from side Alpha and assumed the “Sterling Ave Command”. The Engine(Lt. Pippin) and Truck(Capt. Harris) both arrived and assumed the 2nd due responsibilities for each respected service. Engine 63 secured Rescue 39s continuous water supply and stretched a back-up line to assist with extinguishment. The crew from the Rescue and Truck split (inside/outside) and radioed a side "C" size-up, placed several portable ladders and cut 2 holes in the roof. The company operated just over an hour before returning to service.
