SEVEN RUN DAY

Wednesday, July 14, 2010 As the Tri-State area began to see heavy thunderstorms roll into the area in the morning hours the QRS was dispatched to the 2100 Block of Bridgewater Rd for a medical local just after 0700 hours. A short time later the Engine was dispatched to the 100 Block of Valley Green Dr for wires and trees on fire. PECO was notified and the Company returned. Shortly after returning the Engine was out again to the first call on Bridgewater Rd to assist ATPD with lifting.

Later after the lunch hour was winding down the Engine was dispatched to the 700 Block of Mount Rd for tees and wires on fire. Tac 72 handled the call and the Engine remained off radio. Shortly after this the Building fire response was hit in 72s local to the Unit Block of Dogwood Ln. Truck 63 responded and assisted Tac 72s crew locating the source of smoke. It was determined to be electrical in nature.
Finally as the day turned to night the Truck and Engine were dispatched to the 4300 Block of W. 9th St @ Cox’s Trailer Park for the trailer fire. 68 units went on scene with a vacant trailer fully involved and assumed the Command. Truck 63 and Engine 63 arrived in staging and were returned a short time later once the fire was knocked down and held to 68 MHTFC & 39 Lower Chichester Also assisting on the call were 40, 45, and 65, M100-7. As we were returning to the station we were directed to the unit block of Scarlet Ave for a smoke investigation. The source was found to be an outside fire pit and the assignment was returned.
