ONE OVERTURNED WITH 2 TRAPPED

     

Saturday, June 26, 2010 Today the Twp. Rescue Companies were dispatched to Concord Rd. at Village Dr. for an accident with entrapment. Chief 63 (B. Herre) Rescue 63 (Capt. B. Harris Jr.) and Medic 72-7 arrived and reported a two vehicle accident one vehicle overturned on its roof and 2 people trapped with a total of 3 injuries. Chief 63 established Concord Rd Command. Crews from Rescue 63 and Medic 72 went to work on patient care and extrication. Engine 72s crews set up the Holmatro Tools and stretched a 1 3/4" hand line for fire suppression. Both patients were extricated just after the 1st ten minute mark. 72-7A and Medic 72 both handled transports to CCMC. Rescues 71 (Chester Heights) and 39 (Lower Chichester) were also called in to assist since Rescue 72 was O.O.S for pump work. Crews returned to service within an hour. Chief 63 B Herre had the Concord Rd. Command, Captain B. Harris Jr. had the Rescue Sector and EMS was handled by M 100. Units on scene R63, QRS63, E63, C63, E72, Tac72, R71, R39,  M72, A72, M100, M1007, A40, 1st & 11th District Fire Police and ATPD.
