RIT ASSIGNMENT ON BROOKHAVEN WORKING HOUSE FIRE

     

Saturday, June 26, 2010 At 415pm, RIT 63 was dispatched along with Cos. 52, 57, 47, 50, 65 and RIT 23 to the 3400 block of Nathan Ave. in Brookhaven for a working house fire. Quint 52 arrived with heavy smoke showing from a 1.5 story single family home and began fire attack. Additional apparatus arrived and also went to work. RITs 63 and 23 set-up the RIT equipment and stood by. The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes and RIT 63 was returned. 63 personnel were under the command of Capt. D. Durbano (63-12B). Chief 52 (Montella) had Brookhaven Command.
 

Later in the evening just after 2100 hours the Engine Co was dispatched to the 5000 block of Pennell Rd to the rear of the Aston Twp Municipal Building for a dumpster fire. ATPD were in the station and smelled an odor of smoke and found the roll off dumpster on fire. Engine 63 arrived an put a line in service to extinguish. ASC1 T Morgan was notified and the Engine Co returned a short time later.
