I'm very happy to read this. This is the kind of info that needs to be given and not the random misinformation that's at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this best doc.
love the retro look,if im not mistaken the retired 63-2 was a 1958 ward lafrance which was the companies 1st new piece ever purchased then later sold to trainer fire.co for parts for their la france
I cant say THANKYOU enough to you Chief and the crew that took the time to come up for my party. Its nice to know who your freinds are. Thankyou again for the gift it will stand tall in my room. Stay safe.If I can ever do anything for any of you Im only a phone call away.
I was reminiscing about my youth and found your site. NICE! My Dad was a past President for a short time back in mid-fifties. Some names brought back some fond memories such as Gerald Mc and Harold Burbage (neighbor). Remember coming back from a w/e end trip from the shore with my Dad and a neighbor. We were towing his boat when for some strange reason it caught on fire right in front of the fire house!! My uncle was also police chief around the same time. Good luck and thanks to all FF/EMT's for all your dedication and life saving work.
I really enjoy the site. The fire department has come a long way since my Dad Edgar Simpers was President in 1952-53. I remember when I was a little kid going around collecting coin donations so that the department could buy the Ward LaFrance in 1958.
Just wanted to Thank the officers and Members of Green Ridge for coming out today and helping out with the fund raiser. I really appreciated seeing fellow brothers supporting one of our own. I was very impressed that Truck 63 was brought down to Jake's as well. Again thank you very much for everything.
